About Tapas

A buzzy atmosphere, unfussy service, and sublime tapas
Bringing authentic Spanish dining to Singapore.
In 2006, Chef Carles Abellán opened the award-winning Tapas,24; a stone’s throw from Passeig de Gràcia, the lively tapas bar marries staple Spanish dishes and unfussy service to create one of Barcelona’s hottest dining destinations, which continues to attract locals and tourists alike.

While the bustling cobbled streets of Barcelona are littered with pavement cafes and tapas bars, Tapas,24, continues to retain its status as one of the best – and busiest – in town. A convivial atmosphere, innovative twists on classic Spanish cuisine, and stellar selection of Spanish wines and cocktails combine to make this a must-do pit stop for every foodie visitor and a local favourite.
Today, Chef Carles Abellán in partnership with Singapore- based L'Angélus Group are set to bring that signature Barcelona lifestyle to Singapore with its first Asian outpost, located within the cosmopolitan Quayside neighbourhood.

The beautiful waterfront restaurant is helmed by Chef Carolina Garcia Santamaria, Chef Carles’ protégé, who boasts over a decade of experience across some of Spain’s finest establishments. Drawing inspiration from the original concept, the menu at Tapas,24 Singapore focuses on authentic tapas dishes and aims to bridge the gastronomical distance between Barcelona and Singapore, highlighting bold flavours and encouraging social dining. The dynamic beverage programme will showcase delicious Sangrias, classic Spanish Street Cocktails and a wine list that brings some under-the-radar Spanish labels, as well as much-loved New and Old World wines, to Singapore.

Under the direction of design duo, Matthew Shang and Paul Semple, Tapas,24 Singapore embodies the spirit of Spain from its riverside perch in Robertson Quay. With a non-stop kitchen, high bar stools, and alfresco terrace seating, the tapas bar is energetic and lively, encapsulating the energy of traditional Spanish haunts and Chef Carles’ own imagination.
Countertop seating offers a glimpse into the kitchen and bar, encouraging interaction between guests, Chefs and Bartenders, whilst lower outdoor seating is perfect for enjoying long cocktails overlooking the river. Inspired by Catalan Architect, Antoni Gaudí, the design team used cobalt blue, hand-glazed ceramic and a strong primary colour palette to bring the buzz of Barcelona to Singapore.

With breezy alfresco dining options, as well as cozy indoor spaces, Tapas,24 is Singapore’s newest social dining destination that is set to be a true institution.
“If you care for and love what you have, you will want nothing more. Except, perhaps, another splash of Sangria!”
